Nissan Leaf 40kWh Acenta
Another superb Nissan Leaf 40kWh available for delivery now from JustEVs
The Nissan Leaf – The World’s Best Known Electric Car
For most people the Nissan Leaf is synonymous with EVs. Nissan broke the mould when they launched the original Leaf in 2011. It truly was the first electric vehicle with mass market appeal. The Nissan Leaf then took the world by storm with well over 400,000 sold by the end of 2019.
The Nissan Leaf has captured the attention of second hand electric car buyers as it offers a worry-free purchase. The Leaf is an incredibly reliable car and has a 5-star NCAP rating for safety. The fantastic Japanese build quality that Nissan offers combined with the simplicity of an electric drivetrain provides an easy ownership proposition. At JustEVs, we have a wealth of experience and knowledge with the Nissan Leaf as we have been working with them since the beginning. If you have any questions about the car, please do get in touch and we will be happy to offer our expert opinions.
The 40kWh version of the Nissan Leaf came as part of the 2.Zero second generation Nissan Leaf launch in 2018. The 40kWh Leaf comes with a completely different and refreshed aesthetic as well as some brilliant technological advances such as the much larger 40kWh battery pack and drivability enhancements like the e-Pedal (shown below.)
Features and Specification
The Nissan Leaf Acenta is the top of the range specification that includes:
App controls for pre-heating the car
Touchscreen Multimedia System with DAB/Aux/USB/Bluetooth media playing capabilities
16″ Alloy Wheels
Range and Charging
The Nissan Leaf 40kWh is a big step up in battery size from the original 24kWh and 30kWh cars. The range is pushed up towards 150 miles in real world range (depending on driving style and conditions.) This Leaf still retains the solid and reliable construction of previous Nissan batteries; as such it is covered by the same 8 year or 100,000 mile battery warranty.
The 40kWh Nissan Leaf is also fitted with D/C Rapid Charge and a Chademo connector. This allows the car to charge up in around 35 minutes (0-80%) on a public rapid charger. On most longer journeys, this high speed charge means that with even a short stop, you can add a great boost of charge to your electric vehicle. Alongside the Chademo connector is the Type 2 connector for charging at home, work, and on public fast chargers.
A Super Safe Vehicle
Below is an excerpt from Parkers Online Reviews in regard to the Nissan Leaf’s safety systems and rating:
Full five-star rating in more rigorous Euro NCAP tests
Autonomous Emergency Braking as standard
When tested by Euro NCAP in 2018 under the organisation’s more rigorous crash-testing regime, the Nissan Leaf scored a full five-star rating. The Nissan Leaf carries a cutting-edge image – and supports this with plenty of safety tech.
The following is all included as standard:
Electronic stability control (including Nissan’s Intelligent Trace Control for safer high-speed cornering)
Autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection
The full 5-star NCAP rating was tested under the new rules and is an extremely high standard. The Leaf surpassed all of the requirements to get the maximum safety result for you and your family.
