BMW reveals the new i4 EV at its Annual Conference

As part of its Annual Conference, BMW has revealed the i4 Gran Coupe in its full form. There is plenty to get excited about already, not least of which is the fact the i4 is to be released three months ahead of schedule.

BMW’s Annual Conference yielded a first glimpse of the forthcoming BMW i4 in its entirety. The fully electric Gran Coupe shares much in the looks department with the ICE-powered i4 but has a number of aerodynamic details unique to it, such as the blocked-off grille and new front and rear aprons.

Full technical details will be released by BMW in due course, but it has confirmed that variants of the i4 will have a maximum range of 366 miles. A BMW M Performance model will have 523bhp and will be able to hit 60mph in just four seconds and should offer the dynamics we expect from M models.

Pieter Nota, BMW Board member for Customer, Brand and Sales, said: “With its sporty looks, best in class driving dynamics and zero local emissions, the BMW i4 is a true BMW. It makes the heart of the BMW brand now beat fully electric.”

We know that the original plan was for the i4 to go on sale in Q4 this year, but we’re now expecting that to be brought forward to Q3.
